Practice and Teaching
Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Frogel established a private practice in Great Neck, New York. He continued to practice there until 2011 when he relocated to Hilton Head Island.
Dr. Frogel, a highly acclaimed teacher, has trained young psychiatrists and Internal Medical Residents how to listen to what their patients are saying in order to understand what they mean. Most critically, he has instilled in his students the understanding that they need to be available to those whom they treat outside of the office visits by phone or email.
The approach to his practice and his teaching all result from his underlying philosophy that being an effective psychiatrist entails taking responsibility for a patient’s overall wellbeing.
